CONNECTIVITY

In today’s business environment, all companies must have an Internet connection. Your website, IT infrastructure, CRM, your email, and your backups all need a stable Internet connection to function. Alionis is capable of providing several different types of Internet connections, described in detail below.

FIBRE OPTIQUE
A fiber optic is the most stable connection as well as the fastest. Expensive to install, a fiber optic is the best option for companies that have their IT infrastructure outsourced or mostly virtualized, with employees that travel often or work from home, or that depend heavily on an Internet connection.

SDSL / ADSL
The DSL technology is the most widely used for Internet connections in France. An ADSL connection is the most economical choice and can be installed quickly, but it is not a dedicated and guaranteed connection. It is also limited in terms of connection speed.

A SDSL connection is the best option for companies with a limited budget but in need of a guaranteed, stable connection. SDSL connections also make excellent backup connections should a fiber optic be damaged or out of service because of the greater connection speeds available, from 2 Mbps to 20 Mbps depending on eligibility.

TRANSIT INTERNET

Transit Internet is bandwidth provided by Alionis via our interconnections and peering agreements with other operators. With a completely custom design, the Alionis Network is an excellent choice for a Transit Internet provider because we adapt to your needs, offering several different connection options, including connection speeds from 5 Mbps to 1 Gbps. We also offer two different operating models:

  • Dedicated and guaranteed bandwidth, invoiced at a flat rate
  • Bandwidth available on the Alionis Network, invoiced according to your usage

PRIVATE NETWORKS
For companies with several branches or for companies that have heightened security concerns, a private network is the best solution. An MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) is best suited for companies with several branches whereas a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is best suited for companies in need of a secure connection. Alionis can provide either of these two types of connections and can advise you on which type of connection is best for you and your company. We also offer a third type of connection, a WAN (Wide Area Network), that is applicable only to a handful of companies with extraordinary needs that require an entirely custom solution. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
